Both sides in London's inside workers' strike have agreed to return to contract negotiations on Thursday.

A joint press release goes on to say, "We will have no further comment until after that meeting."

Negotiations on Saturday between the City of London and CUPE Local 101 - with a provincial mediator - quickly broke off without an agreement.

Before that, the last talks between the two sides were three weeks ago.

At issue in the contract talks are wages, changes to retirement plans for new employees, expanded hours of work and job evaluation changes.

The city's 750 inside workers have been on the picket line since May 25th and have been without a contract since December.
