It was graduation for day for two new additions to local policing, but the pups seemed to have no patience for pomp and circumstance.
Trax and Wilco were given their badges during a ceremony at London police headquarters on Thursday.
Along with their handlers, they've completed four months of intensive training and are ready to get to work.
All of the training took place in London.
Sgt. Wayne Pool of the London police K9 Unit says "We've now been almost 43 years in existence. We've helped programs all the way across the province - all they way out into the east coast. So, to help St. Thomas out, it makes me proud to see [Const.] Sean [James] graduate. And it's going to make me really happy when he gets his first grab."
Trax is the first-ever member of the St. Thomas Police Service K9 Unit while Wilco is the newest addition to the London Police Service's K9 unit.
St. Thomas police Chief Darryl Pinnell says Trax will be a key addition to the force.
"Not only for the operational side of policing but for also for community services, for community groups, visiting schools and doing other community functions. So, we're very proud that this is our first K9 unit and it will be a huge addition to our police service."
