It’s an indoor fantasy of lights.

The Elgin County Railway Museum (ECRM) is collecting donations for the St. Thomas Food Bank at their ‘Community Christmas Tree Spectacular.’

“We have over 300 Christmas trees on display, the majority of them are sponsored and decorated by all of our amazing local businesses,” says Ashley Mason, event and hospitality manager at CASO Station and ECRM in St. Thomas, Ont.

“Then we put a couple of our own displays as well.”

Those attending can not only see the hundreds of decorated trees, but the historic trains and take photos with Santa (Saturday only).

“It’s very festive,” says Mason.

“As soon as you walk in you can feel the magic. When you walk in, we have like a nice Lego display, then there is Santas workshop, and then you can follow through the light tunnel and then you come up to, where Santa is sitting.”

They also have a community Christmas tree where the public can donate food or toys to support local families in need.

The displays will be open Saturday (from 2:00 – 9:00 p.m.), Sunday ( from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m.) and wrap up Monday, Dec. 23 with special finale hours of 2:00 – 9:00 p.m.
