The intersection of Oxford Street and Clarke Road has reopened after a serious crash on Wednesday morning.

Police were called to the scene around 5 a.m. after a pickup truck and a car collided.

Investigators say the pickup was northbound on Clarke when the southbound car attempted to turn left to go eastbound on Oxford.

The pickup then collided with the passenger side of the car.

Two people in the car were taken to hospital, the passenger with serious injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.

The intersection was reopened around noon, but the police investigation continues.
