London police are asking for public help to to find the owner of $10,000 in cash found at a northeast end store.

Investigators say one of the store's customers found the cash in a box on a store shelf on Nov. 17, 2014.

Const. Ken Steeves says, "We're not releasing the name of the store, as well as the denominations and a lot of the other information because the only person that would have that information is the owner.

"If we release that information there is the potential for having quite a few people coming forward advising that it is their money with no other way to verify it."

According to police the note 'Kevin for March' was written on a piece of paper attached to a bundle of money inside the box.

While police have been trying to locate the owner of the money, they have so far been unsuccessful.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the London Police Service at 519-661-5670 and mention reference #14-127958.
