London police are looking for a suspect after he allegedly attempted to rob two elementary students on their way to school.
Police say an unknown male approached two boys on Friday, Feb. 20 around 8:45 a.m. A 13-year-old boy and 11-year-old boy were walking near the west side of Westmount Mall at 785 Wonderland Road South when they encountered the suspect.
The unknown man unsuccessfully attempted to rob the youths, but fled prior to receiving anything. The suspect left in a dark colour four-door vehicle, say police.
The suspect is described as a man, with a tan complexion, about 5’10” tall, with a medium build. He was about 25 years old.
The youths were not harmed as a result of the encounter.
Police have released a photo of the suspect vehicle that was obtained from surrounding businesses.The investigation continues.
