OPP release name of Huron County woman killed in off-road vehicle crash

A Huron County resident is dead after the off-road vehicle she was driving flipped into a creek.

Around 11:42 p.m. on Friday, June 24th, emergency crews responded to the crash scene just off Huron Road (Highway 8) west of Kitchigami Road. Huron County OPP say a John Deere Gator Utility-Terrain Vehicle (UTV) was travelling on private property parallel to a creek bed when the UTV suddenly dropped off the edge and overturned into the shallow creek. The woman driving, 51-year-old Nancy Bedard from Central Huron, was pronounced dead at the scene. A male passenger was uninjured.
