A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital after a collision with a pickup truck on a Highway 401 overpass Wednesday morning.
The crash tool place on Iona Road at the 401 overpass around 7:30 a.m.
Police say it appears the southbound pickup was attempting to get onto the 401 on-ramp when it turned left into the path of the northbound motorcycle, which collided with the passenger side of the pickup.
The motorcyclist, a 31-year-old Dutton man, was airlifted to the London Health Sciences Centre with life-threatening injuries.
The 82-year-old driver of the pickup, a London man, was not injured.
The scene was re-opened to traffic around 1 p.m. after Elgin County OPP concluded their investigation.
