A North Perth woman is facing impaired driving charges after nearly slamming into an OPP cruiser.

An officer was on partol in Listowel around 4:30 a.m. Saturday when police say the incident happened.

The officer had to make an evasive manoeuvre to avoid being struck by a small pickup truck on Donegan Street near Wallace Avenue.

The driver was pulled over and she was determined to be drinking.

She failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests at the station.

A 43 year old woman is charged with driving while ability impaired-motor vehicle and driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood.

She was released with a May 18 court date.

Her licence has been suspended for 90 days and her truck was impounded for seven days.
