Middlesex County OPP have released the identity of a 63-year-old woman who died after the school bus she was driving crashed on Tuesday.
Emergency crews responded to the single-vehicle collision at approximately 9:18 a.m.
Police say a yellow school bus was travelling westbound on Twelve Mile Road, when it struck the north side shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle then travelled across the roadway, where the front of the bus struck a tree on the south side of the roadway, causing the bus to roll onto its passenger side.
The 63-year-old female driver (and lone occupant) was pronounced dead at the scene. She has been identified as Pamela Walper, from South Huron.
There were no students on the bus.
OPP collision investigators attended the scene to assist with the investigation. As a result, Twelve Mile Road was closed between Highbury Avenue and Adelaide Road.
The road was re-opened at approximately 1:43 p.m.
