A Huron County man is in custody following what police describe as a week-long crime spree in the Town of Clinton.

The alleged crime spree began on Feb. 9th when the accused allegedly stole a wallet at the Ontario Street United Church located on Ontario Street in Clinton.

A few days later, police say he returned to the same church with an unknown accomplice and broke in and stole a safe containing church documents and a gift card.

The duo allegedly also broke into the Clinton Pharmacy on King Street and made off with a small quantity of cash and medication.

Two days later, the suspect allegedly stole a a charity donation jar from a restaurant on Victoria Street.

The next day, the accused and an unknown accomplice allegedly held up the Godfather’s Pizza location on Rattenbury Street East at knife point.

On Friday, OPP executed a search warrant at an Albert Street home.

Eric Sabourin, 19, has been charged with:

  •  Robbery with Offensive Weapon
  •  Wear Disguise with Intent
  •  Two counts of Theft Under $5,000
  •  Two counts of Break and Enter
  •  Eight counts of Fail to Comply with Disposition
  •  Breach of Recognizance

He is scheduled to make a court appearance in Goderich on Monday.
