Middlesex OPP say a shooting incident resulted in minor injuries at Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation on Saturday.

Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation Police and the Middlesex County crime unit is investigating the incident that they were called to at about 8:40 a.m.

Police responded to a report of an injured male from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers say there was an apparent altercation outside a residence involving two men when the one of the men allegedly shot the other man involved, causing minor injury.

As a result of the investigation, police have two suspects in custody facing a number of charges.

The identities of the suspects will be released at a later time.
