A pilot is lucky to be alive following an emergency landing in Lambton County.

Around 11 a.m. Sunday, OPP were called to a farmer's field in the 2200 block of Oil Springs Line.

The man who was alone in the aircraft, experienced in-flight aircraft problems that required him to perform an emergency landing in the field.

The pilot was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

There was no one on the ground injured during the incident.

The investigation is continuing.
