A potential walkout by nurses in Huron County has been averted after a tentative deal was reached with the local board of health.
The nurses represented by the Ontario Nurses Association had been working without a contract since 2011.
The proposed deal has to be approved by members of the association, and is set to be voted on by the board of health Tuesday.
