TOWNSEND, Ont. -- Police in Haldimand County are investigating a fire they have deemed to be suspicious.
Provincial police say flames broke out at a home in the community of Townsend on the afternoon of Remembrance Day.
They say a passerby called 911 after seeing smoke coming from the roof.
Police say the home was empty at the time.
It's estimated the blaze caused $300,000 in damage.
