Police say a 37-year-old teacher at Ashley Oaks Public School has been charged with two counts of voyeurism.
The charges come after school staff found a camera concealed in a backpack in a school change room on Wednesday and contacted police.
Following an investigation, police say members of the Internet Child Exploitation Unit searched a London home and found images of two adults on devices recovered at the residence.
London police Const. Ken Steeves says, "On the camera were images of two adult people, which led to the charges of two counts of voyeurism...From there we executed a search warrant at his residence and seized a computer as well as other devices."
As a result, Jamie Gardiner, a teacher at Ashley Oaks, was arrested late Wednesday and is facing two voyeurism charges.
The Thames Valley District School Board won't comment on the issue on camera, saying it is an internal personnel matter.
However, a letter was sent home with students that says Gardiner "has been assigned to home duties pending the outcome of the investigation."
It goes on to say, "We are co-operating fully with London police and our main focus will be on the safety and well-being of the students and staff at the school."
