Sarnia Police are investigating after a young woman reported being attacked in alley. The attack occurred in the Kathleen and East area between 10:30 pm and 11:15 pm.
Police say the victim reported being forced to the ground by an unknown male who then attempted to strip and sexually assault her. The man fled on foot after a female passerby shouted at him.
According to police the passerby drove off in a Ford Taurus like vehicle chasing after the assailant. Police are asking that anyone with any knowledge of the incident come forward. They would like to talk to the woman who scared the man off as well.
The man is described as tall with short dark hair. He was wearing a long leather coat that extended past his mid-thigh. He was also wearing jeans and light coloured running shoes.
