Folks were talking turkey in the Cherryhill area Monday.

Four wild turkeys decided to pay a visit to Sugarcreek Trail around 11 a.m. and brought out a crowd of residents at an apartment complex, cameras in tow.

Lisa Merritt, who shot shot video and photographs, says the birds impressed the crowd and were relatively tame.

"It's amazing. How often do you see wild turkeys in the city."

Merritt says she was able to get within a foot of the big birds.

She says there is a wooded area near the complex which is likely where the birds first arrived before wandering over for a visit.
