A 22-year-old Ingersoll man is facing impaired driving charges after a City of London vehicle was struck from behind early Friday, injuring two, police said.

The crash happened about 2 a.m. at Dundas and Florence Streets as a city employee was painting road surface lines.

“The car drove into a City of London works pickup truck,” says Const. Sandasha Ferguson. “It had its emergency four-ways on.”

The city employee, who was taken to hospital, and the driver of the car, both had non-life threatening injuries.

A passenger in the car was not injured.

The Ingersoll man is charged with impaired driving and operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 milligrams.
