Police in Owen Sound charged two different people with impaired driving overnight. In the first incident around 9:20 p.m. Saturday, May 14th, an officer saw a pickup truck pull out from a driveway on 10th Street West, drive across three lanes of traffic and into the path of her cruiser. In the second incident just before 3:00 a.m. Sunday morning, a driver was seen going through a red light at the corner of 9th Street and 2nd Avenue East in Owen Sound. An officer stopped the car shortly afterward.

A 29-year-old woman from Owen Sound is charged with driving while in excess of the legal limit of alcohol. She was the only person in the car. Her licence was also suspended for 90 days, and her car impounded for a week.
