A male seen driving erratically and speeding in downtown London has been charged after colliding with a cruiser and hydro pole.

Police reportedly observed a GMC Sierra in the area of Richmond Street and Horton Street around 2:30 a.m. Friday being driven erratically and reaching speeds over 100 km/h

Several officers attended and officials say they had to take evasive manoeuvres to avoid colliding with the pickup.

Eventually, the vehicle struck a cruiser head on before colliding with a hydro pole.

After the crash, 23-year-old Ryan Frederick of London was arrested and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle while having excess of 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
