London police have charged a 38-year-old London woman after a woman wearing a hijab has allegedly attacked at a grocery store.

The arrest took place Tuesday night. Her name has not been released.

Earlier Tuesday, police were asking for the public's help in identifying a woman wanted in connection the alleged unprovoked assault.

Police say around 5 p.m. Monday, the victim was with her four-month-old baby inside the Superking Supermarket on Wonderland Road when she was approached by an unknown woman.

The suspect allegedly began yelling at the victim for no apparent reason and then punched her, spat on her and grabbed the woman's hijab, trying to pull it off.

The woman is charged with one count of assault.

This incident is still under investigation and police are appealing to the public for more information.
