Humane Society officials are investigating after the carcass of a cat was found over the weekend in Springbank Park.

The neutered male housecat was found on Sunday in the park.

Officials picked up the remains Tuesday and have sent them to Guelph for an autopsy.

Meanwhile, officials also told CTV News that a dead goose was found with multiple stab wounds Tuesday. It was dumped at the front door of the London Human Society headquarters on Clarke Road.

Anyone with information in either case is asked to call police or the Humane Society.
