Just days after the OPP busted up an alleged drug ring in Mitchell, Hanover police believe they’ve put a dent in the supply of methamphetamine and marijuana available in that community.

Hanover police have confiscated nearly $60,000 worth of methamphetamine and marijuana and $15,000 in cash and charged three people with drug distribution following an unconnected domestic call on Tuesday.

Police were called to a Hanover motel for a domestic dispute when they say they found some drugs in the room. A search warrant helped them uncover a much larger stash of drugs.

The Hanover Police Service says the methamphetamine seizure especially is sizeable and should mean there’s a lot less available in the Grey and Bruce County areas.

Jeremy Steven Halk, 28, of Brampton, is facing numerous charges including domestic assault, assaulting a police officer, possession for the purpose of trafficking, amont others.
