The disappearance of a Durham man more than 30 years ago is back in the spotlight after the province announced a $50,000 reward Thursday for information that might help police crack the case.
Neil McDougall was 40 at the time of his disappearance. He was last seen leaving a residence in the Village of Ayton around 2 a.m. on Oct. 12, 1985.
His family reported him missing on October 14, 1985.
McDougall is described as 183 cm (6 feet) tall, weighting 77 kgs (170 lbs) at the time of his disappearance.
His vehicle was located near the point McDougall was last seen. An extensive search of the area and police investigation led authorities to believe that foul play was involved in his disappearance.
Investigators from the West Grey Police Service, Grey County OPP and the OPP West Region Support Team continue the investigation into his disappearance.
