Environment Canada has ended a freezing rain warning for London and Middlesex County.

The warning was no longer in effect as of 10:47 a.m. Wednesday.

Precipitation spread into southern Ontario Wednesday morning. It was predicted to begin as freezing rain for about an hour or two in most areas, then change to rain as temperatures rise above zero.

Environment Canada did not expect it to be a significant event, but it was thought to be enough to glaze untreated roads with a thin coating of ice.

A high of 9 C is forecasted for the London area on Wednesday, with temperatures cooling to 1 C in the evening.
