OPP are searching for 45-year-old Kenneth Froude after he breached his parole by walking away from his Kingston, Ont. halfway house.
He was serving a one year and seven month sentence for criminal harassment and already twice breaching his parole.
Froude was declared a long-term offender in May 2008 after four sexual assault convictions.
Around the same time he was convicted of attacking a woman in her 20s at her Bentley Drive townhouse in northeast London in June 2004.
In that case he was found guilty of sexual assault with a weapon, break and enter to commit a sexual assault and threatening to cause bodily harm.
London police Chief Brad Duncan says “These are concerning offences in any community, so there’s obviously a heightened tension among community members as you’d expect.”
He was released on parole in 2010, and has now breached those conditions three times.
During one of those breaches he was spotted and arrested while at Masonville Mall.
In addition to London, Froude is known to frequent Kingston, Iroquois Falls, Timmins and the Greater Toronto Area.
He is described as 5’11”, 152 pounds with brown eyes and greying hairs.
Duncan adds “I want to assure Londoners we have no information that he’s here, but we are taking every step to ensure that his picture is out there, his description is out there and really encourage individuals if they suspect that they’ve seen him, call us.”
