Even through there was a mistrial declared in the baby Ryker Daponte-Michaud case, the Crown and defense lawyers were back in court Tuesday.
This time it was to decide a date for a new trial.
All parties agreed that June 5 2017 would be the start of the second trial.
It is expected to last four to five weeks.
Ryker's mother Amanda Dumont and her partner Scott Bakker are charged with criminal negligence causing death and failing to provide the necessaries of life in the death of the infant.
The mistrial was declared Monday after Dumont became ill with appendicitis and was not able to fully participate in the trial, which is her right.
Ryker was burned by a cup of hot instant coffee in Strathroy in May of 2014 and died as a result.
