A new survey suggests that Londoners are not warming up to Uber as much as other Canadian communities.

A poll conducted by Mainstreet and Postmedia finds that 47 per cent of Londoners think the ride-sharing service should be banned.

Only 23 per cent of respondents believe that Uber drivers should be allowed to operate without a taxi license.

The report found that London’s support of Uber is the lowest of Canadian communities where the service currently operates.

The poll also found that Londoners appear to be skeptical of Uber’s safety with only 29 per cent saying they felt the service was safe versus 88 per cent for taxis.
