A 29-year-old man has been charged after a male out walking on St. George Street was struck in the face with a brick.
St. Thomas police say the incident happened around 3:10 a.m. on Friday in the area of Elysian Street.
Three males were reportedly walking when a man not known to them began yelling and then charged one of them, hitting him in the face with a brick.
The suspect allegedly fled south on St. George Street and the injured man was transported to hospital where he was treated for broken bones around his eye and given five stitches.
Police later arrested the suspect leaving a William Street residence.
Devon Vandendriessche has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon.
