A 25-year-old London man is facing a dozen charges after a robbery at a pharmacy on Adelaide Street N. Friday morning.
Police say a running vehicle was taken from a Pennybrook Crescent address and taken to a Pharma Plus store. A man demanded medication and fled the pharmacy. He was chased by the store manager and pharmacist. The pharmacist was struck by the vehicle and received minor injuries.
On Fanshawe Park Road at Stoneybrook Crescent, the vehicle then collided with another one and then struck a tree. Nobody was injured in the collision.
The suspect then took off on foot and broke into a garage on Cumberland Crescent.
Marshall McClinchey was arrested and charged with two counts each of robbery, dangerous operation of a vehicle, failing to remain at scene of accident, break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime, one count of theft of vehicle and disguise with intent.
Only 20 minutes passed from the time the vehicle was taken on Pennybrook until the arrest on Cumberland.
