Parts of southern Ontario will be sizzling under a heat wave this Labour Day long weekend.

Environment Canada has issued heat warnings for the London-Middlesex, as well as Windsor-Essex and Greater Toronto, Hamilton and Niagara areas.

From Saturday to Monday those areas will see daily highs in the low 30's with the high humidity making it feel closer  40.

Affected areas as of 4:21 p.m. Saturday include:

  • Cambridge
  • Region of Waterloo
  • Woodstock
  • Tillsonburg
  • Oxford County
  • Strathroy
  • Southern Perth County Guelph
  • Erin
  • Southern Wellington County and Sarnia
  • Petrolia
  • Western Lambton County
  • Eastern Lambton County Stratford
  • Pinery Park
