Health officials in St. Thomas are urging people who got tattoos at a home-based business to get their blood tested.

The public health unit launched an investigation into Lady Unlucky after getting a tip from the public and the business was ordered closed.

The health unit says it cannot be sure appropriate infection control practices were in place since the business was not inspected.

Officials say while the risk of infection is considered low, anyone who received body art at Lady Unlucky is advised to get tested for HIV, Hepatitis B, and Hep C.
