It was wedded bliss, 150 times over.

Roman Catholic Bishop Ronald Fabbro presided at a wedding anniversary mass that saw about 150 couples renew their wedding vows and receive a special blessing.

The event took place at St. Peter’s Cathedral Basilica on Dufferin Avenue Sunday afternoon.

The couples represented 5,600 years of marriage.

Many of the couples that took part had been married for 50 years or longer.

Merlyn and Jim Coulter were among those pairs and had some advice

“Work on your marriage every day of your life,” Merlyn said.

All 150 pairs received personalized certificates commemorating their wedding anniversary at a reception.

It’s been a busy week for Farbro and Catholics in the London diocese.

A new church has just been dedicated on Clarke Road for the growing community of Korean Catholics. A mass was also held on May 1 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Sister Adorers of the Precious Blood.
