Woodstock police have charged two youths after separate incidents where taxi drivers were robbed or assaulted.

Investigators say a cab was called to pick up two males on Dundas Street West around 11 p.m. Sunday.

After they were taken to a James Street location, police say one of the males attempted to rob the driver with a knife.

The driver reportedly got out of his cab and yelled for assistance and the two males then fled the area at which point police were called.

Then around 5 a.m. Monday, a taxi was called to pick up two males on Dundas Street at Finkle.

Police say after they were taken to a location on Devonshire Avenue, the males exited the cab and one of them punched the cab driver causing some minor injury.

A 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old male are now facing charges including robbery, assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, disguise with intent and breach of probation.
