A London after-hours club has been hit with several violation notices following a multi-agency investigation.

Municipal Law Enforcement Services, London Police, Fire, and the Middlesex-London Health Unit were all involved investigating the "J-Spot," which operated in the upper warehouse of 560 Quebec St.

The property is zoned industrial and is not designed for public assembly.

“Buildings are built and designed in compliance with zoning and building and fire codes. Using industrial warehouses for public assembly uses, especially where alcohol may alter the decision making capabilities of the occupants, is a serious public safety concern,” said Orest Katolyk, Chief Municipal Law Enforcement Officer in a news release.

Violators may be fined a maximum of $25,000 upon their first conviction and $10,000 for subsequent convictions on a daily basis.
