The Queen’s Inn in Seaforth, Ont. is still standing, for now.

Town officials say they are still trying to get in touch with the owner of the former hotel which was severely damaged by fire Sunday night.

Once they speak with him, there will a discussion about the building’s future.

Fire officials still don’t suspect the fire was intentionally set, but haven’t ruled out arson as of yet. Damage is still pegged at around $500,000.

Crews from four area fire departments battled the stubborn blaze that started shortly after 11:30 Sunday night.

It poured rain along with a thunder and lightning as crews battled the blaze and two firefighters were treated for exhaustion because of the conditions.
