OPP in the town of Collingwood are investigating a reported sexual assault in the early hours of Jan. 1, 2017.

OPP in Collingwood are investigating a report of a sexual assault on a city street.

A woman told police that she was pulled into a vehicle and sexually assaulted on January 1, 2017 at 1:20 a.m. The alleged assault happened on 2nd Street between Birch and Beech Street in Collingwood.

Suspect Vehicle Description:

• 2005-2010 Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla

• Silver or Tan in colour

• 4 door sedan

• Black steel rims

Suspect Description:

• Male south Asian

• Late twenties to early thirties

• Beard

• 5' 5" to 5' 7" inches tall

• Average build with a large mid-section

Suspect Clothing Description:

• Blue t-shirt

• Black pants

• Black baseball cap with White logo

Police believe the suspect vehicle may have been in the areas of 2nd and Birch Street, Birch Street between 2nd and 3rd Streets, and 3rd Street between Oak and Birch Street in Collingwood.
