A collision involving a motorcycle closed the 401 east of London through part of morning and into the early afternoon.
Middlesex Ontario Provincial Police say the motorcycle was travelling east on the highway around 10:30 Saturday morning when it apparently experienced a mechanical failure causing it to crash.
Police say there were two people on the bike, with the passenger suffering serious injuries. The driver's injuries are not thought to be serious.
The 401 east was closed from Dorchester Road to Elgin Road with OPP Technical Traffic Collision Unit investigators on the scene.
The 401 eastbound lanes re-opened around 2 p.m. Saturday.
