A 29-year-old Woodstock man has been arrested after a grocery store robbery in Ingersoll.
Oxford County OPP responded to the report of a robbery at The Independent Grocer on King Street West on Thursday.
Police say a lone male entered the store shortly before 5:20 p.m. where he placed several items in his cart and left without paying.
Store employees followed the suspect and made contact with him in the parking lot and he was asked to return to the store.
Police say the man then produced a knife and threatened the two employees. Nobody was injured.
He then got into a vehicle. While leaving the area, the suspect vehicle struck a parked car can continue to flee.
Police say the suspect was located and arrested without incident.
He has been charged with theft under $5,000, robbery with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, escaping lawful custody and failing to comply with probation order.
