Lambton County OPP say a tractor-trailer rollover closed the eastbound lanes of Highway 402 at Oil Heritage Road on Monday morning.

Emergency crews were called to the scene - just east of Oil Heritage Road - in Plympton-Wyoming for a commercial vehicle crash around 7 a.m.

The highway re-opened shortly after 2 p.m. following the police investigation and clean-up of the scene.

Drivers were being asked to avoid the area for the safety of emergency responders.

However, OPP Tweeted that three motorists had been charged for "driving past flares, cones and a cruiser at collision scene! Seriously! $110 fine!"

There were no reports of injuries.

The driver of the transport, a 41-year-old Kitchener man, has since been charged with careless driving in the crash.
