The province says it's going ahead with legislation to help protect marine mammals in the province.
That includes measures to ban any future acquisition or breeding of orcas -- also known as killer whales -- a step the government promised back in January.
An advisory group has also been set up to provide advice on new standards of care for marine mammals.
