A 40-year-old Perth County woman was rushed to hospital after her snowmobile was struck by a VIA Rail train near Stratford on Monday night.

Perth County OPP say the snowmobile got stuck on the train tracks near Perth Road 111 and Perth Line 34 before the crash around 9:30 p.m.

The woman’s injuries are reportedly non-life threatening and none of the approximately 80 passengers on the train at the time was injured.

However, the train was stuck on the tracks for about three hours.
