A 36-year-old man is in custody after an overnight standoff at a home on Lorne Street in Harriston, southwest of Mount Forest.
Wellington OPP were called to the scene around 11 p.m. on Tuesday after reports a man had barricaded himself inside the home.
He refused to talk to police, who were concerned the man might harm himself or officers at the scene.
OPP surrounded the home and the Emergency Response Team and Tactics and Rescue Unit were called in to assist.
Around 9:15 a.m. the man was taken into custody without incident. There were no injuries and no one else was inside the home.
An investigation into the incident continues but there is no concern for public safety.
