Lambton County OPP are investigating a case of animal cruelty.

On Friday, a 22 year old man from Forest was taken into custody.

Officers executed a search warrant at a home on MacKenzie Street in Forest and came across a quantity of unknown liquid chemicals.

Although, officers from the OPP Urban Search and Rescue Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Explosives Response Team determined none of the chemicals were explosive or illegal.

Lambton OPP will remain on scene and continue with the animal cruelty investigation.

The man is charged with three counts of animal cruelty, uttering death threats and possession of marijuana.

The suspect remains in custody and will appear in a Sarnia court on Monday.
