Two people were injured and one man has been arrested in connection to a stabbing incident late Saturday afternoon.
Just before 6 p.m. officers were called to the area of Horton Street and Maitland Streeet.
Once on scene, police found a 35-year-old male who had sustained several stab wounds to his upper body and face.
A 35-year-old female had also been assaulted and had sustained a minor cut to her hand.
Both victims were transported to hospital.
The man is currently listed in stable condition and the female has been discharged.
At the time, the suspect fled into a nearby residence but officers surrounded the house and a 28-year-old London man was eventually taken into custody.
The accused is facing several assault and weapons charges.
The accused and the victims are known to one another and there are no other suspects wanted in this case.
