When it comes to pampered pooches, Windsor has taken the top spot among Canadian cities, according to Amazon.ca, with London in ninth place.
The website found Windsorites ordered more dog carriers, beds, collars, treats and toys, than any other Canadian city in the last year.
Andrea Leigh, category leader of Amazon.ca Pets, said in a statement, "For the second year in a row, we’re finding that Canadians are devoted animal lovers and it’s fun to see where the most pampered pets reside."
Windsor climbed from the 15th spot to first in the listing that looked at pet item sales data per capita for cities with over 100,000 people from Aug. 2013 to Aug. 2014.
Saskatoon and Regina, Sask. took the second and third spots, and southwestern Ontario was well-represented in the top ten, with Kitchener in seventh and London in ninth place.
Regina and Saskatoon topped the list for those buying the most reptile and amphibian products, while London topped the list when it came to products for feathered friends.
Windsor and Regina joined Gatineau, Que. as the cities that topped the list as most feline friendly.
