It is an end of an era, as a one of a kind department store in downtown London is about to close its doors forever.
Kingsmill's will shut down permanently Sunday after 148 years of business.
The Dundas Street outlet is considered Canada's oldest department store.
The unique building's future is uncertain after London city council's recent decision not to help fund Fanshawe College's bid for the building.
The college was asking for $10 million dollars from taxpayers.
Founded in 1865 as a dry goods store, Kingsmill's has been operating at its current downtown location in downtown London for all of its 148 years and is one of the last remaining independent, family-owned and operated department stores in Canada.
