A reported two vehicle collision in the area of Adelaide Street and Hamilton Road shut down many roads over a large area while emergency crews investigated Friday night.

Police have only confirmed they're investigating a crash in the area, but did not provide further details.

Large swaths of east London in the area surrounding the crash were without power. The outage stretched from downtown to east London along Saskatoon Street almost to Oxford Street, stretching down to the Thames River.

London police did not confirm the nature of the collision or that the outage was related.

Power has since been restored.
