Assault at restaurant leads to charges in St. Thomas

St. Thomas police officers were called to attend a south end restaurant for an assault Friday.

Police learned that two individuals were having dinner when a dispute between them turned physical, resulting in a woman assaulting a man with cutlery. No injuries were sustained.

According to police, the woman was on conditions not to be around the man.

A 47-year-old female was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and two counts of fail to comply with probation. The male has also been charged with party to the offence and a summons has been requested.
